Starting with just one shred truck in Cortland, Ohio, Bill and Sherry have grown Protect-N-Shred into Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania’s trusted, locally-owned shredding provider. We have used Protect-N-Shred for several years now. An insurance agency is information driven and the vast majority of that information falls under Protected Health Inforamtion and is governed by HIPAA laws. These laws are very specific and the penalties are high. An agent in Cleveland was fined $10,000 for failure to comply in 2011. Protect-N-Shred is a vital part of our compliance. Their locked container in our office, the shredding and Certificate of Destruction are key components when we are audited for HIPAA compliance.

Protect n Shred has been shredding confidential documents for the Trumbull County Probate Court since 2006. When called by the Court, two Protect-N-Shred employees empty the secure container into a covered toter and transport the toter to their truck parked outside the Courthouse. A court employee then witnesses the documents being shredded in the truck. The employees of Protect-N-Shred are professional and courteous. Confidentiality is their main priority.
